Do I really need a 4x4 in Costa Rica?
A 4x4 can be useful for steep, rough or unpaved access roads, especially in wet weather. The right choice depends on your exact lodging and route, so ask us before booking.
What 4x4 models do you have available?
Our 4x4 fleet includes the Suzuki Grand Vitara, Mitsubishi Outlander, Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento. All are automatic, air-conditioned and regularly serviced.
Can I pick up a 4x4 at SJO or LIR airports?
Yes. We offer airport delivery at both Juan Santamaria (SJO) and Daniel Oduber (LIR) airports. SJO delivery is $20; LIR delivery is $120, since Liberia is a long drive from our base in Alajuela. We coordinate your pickup time and location with you directly by WhatsApp.
What is included in the 4x4 rental price?
The estimator shows the vehicle rate and chosen delivery service. Insurance options and services without a fixed online price are explained and confirmed before booking.
Can I drive on beaches or cross rivers?
Only drive where it is legally permitted and allowed by your rental agreement. Never cross a flooded river. Ask us for current road advice and use a safe alternate route.
